6) Use of customer data for direct advertising

6.1 Registration for our email newsletter

If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you regular information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of further data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending newsletters, which ensures that you only receive newsletters if you have expressly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by clicking on a verification link sent to the email address provided

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. We store your IP address entered by the Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. If you have provided us with your e-mail address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services to those already purchased from our range by e-mail. We do not need to obtain separate consent from you for this in accordance with Section 7 (3) UWG. In this respect, data processing is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If you have initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails.

7.1  Transmission of image files for order processing by email

On our website, we offer customers the opportunity to order the personalization of products by sending image files by e-mail. The submitted image motif is used as a template for the personalization of the selected product.

The customer can send us one or more image files from the memory of the end device used via the email address provided on the website. We then record, store and use the files transmitted in this way exclusively for the production of the personalized product in accordance with the respective service description on our website. Your contact details will be used strictly for the purpose of notifying you of updates owed by us and will only be processed by us for this purpose to the extent that this is necessary for the respective information.

In order to process your order, we also work together with the following service provider(s), who support us in whole or in part in the execution of concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transmitted to these service providers after the following information has been provided.

8) Online marketing

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. In addition, Google AdSense also uses so-called "web beacons" (small invisible graphics) to collect information, which can be used to record, collect and analyze simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there. This may also result in a transmission to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

Google uses the information obtained in this way to carry out an evaluation of your usage behavior with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other Google data. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if this is required by law and/or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. All processing described above, in particular the reading of information on the terminal device used via cookies and/or web beacons, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, Google AdSense will not be used during your visit to our website.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the „Cookie-Consent-Tool“ provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

9) Web analysis services

Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, Google (Universal) Analytics sets cookies when you visit the website, which are stored as small text modules on your end device and collect certain information. The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which Google shortens by the last digits in order to exclude any direct personal reference.

The information is transmitted to Google servers and processed there. In the process, data may also be transferred to Google LLC based in the USA.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted and shortened by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The data collected as part of the use of Google (Universal) Analytics is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies on the terminal device used, will only take place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, Google (Universal) Analytics will not be used during your visit to our website. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of revocation, please deactivate this service via the „Cookie-Consent-Tool“ provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographic characteristics
Google (Universal) Analytics uses the special function „demographic characteristics“ and can use it to generate statistics that provide information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third-party providers. This makes it possible to identify target groups for marketing activities. However, the data collected cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after storage for a period of two months.

Google Signals
As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, Google Signals can be used on this website to generate cross-device reports. If you have activated personalized ads and have linked your devices to your Google account, Google may, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, analyze your usage behavior across devices and create database models, including for cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you want to stop the comprehensive analysis, you can deactivate the "Personalized advertising" function in the settings of your Google account. To do this, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en You can find more information about Google Signals at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=en

UserIDs
As an extension to Google (Universal) Analytics, the "UserIDs" function can be used on this website. If you have consented to the use of Google (Universal) Analytics in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, have set up an account on this website and log in with this account on various devices, your activities, including conversions, can be analyzed across the board.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10) Retargeting/remarketing and conversion tracking

10.1 Facebook pixel for the creation of custom audiences

We use the "Facebook Pixel" service of the following provider within our online offering: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook")

When a user clicks on an advertisement placed by us on Facebook, a parameter is added to the URL of our linked page with the help of "Facebook Pixel". This URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser after redirection by a cookie that our linked page sets itself.

This makes it possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the service to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called „Custom Audiences“).

On the other hand, we can use „Facebook Pixel“ to track whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad and which actions they take there (so-called „conversion tracking“).

The data collected is anonymous to us, so it does not provide us with any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for the reading of information on the terminal device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the „Cookie-Consent-Tool“ provided on the website.

We have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Facebook is usually transmitted to a Facebook server and stored there; in this context, it may also be transmitted to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10.2 Google Ads conversion tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, as part of Google Ads, the conversion tracking of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland („Google“).

We use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising material (so-called Google Adwords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device. These cookies generally lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

In the context of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

Details on the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and on Google's handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the Google browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=en

In order to target users whose data we have received in the context of business or business-related relationships with advertising that is even more relevant to their interests, we use a customer matching function as part of Google Ads. For this purpose, we send one or more files with aggregated customer data (primarily email addresses and telephone numbers) to Google electronically. Google does not receive access to clear data, but encrypts the information in the customer files automatically during the transmission process using a special algorithm. The encrypted information can then only be used by Google to assign it to existing Google accounts that the data subjects have set up. This makes it possible to display personalized advertising via all Google services linked to the respective Google account.

The transfer of customer data to Google takes place exclusively if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. Further information on Google's data protection measures in relation to the customer matching function can be found here: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6334160?hl=en&ref_topic=10550182

If personal data is also processed in the process, this is done in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our offer and the appealing design of our website.

12) Tools and other

Cookie consent tool

This website uses a so-called „cookie consent tool“ to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The „Cookie Consent Tool“ is displayed to users when they access the website in the form of an interactive user interface on which consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by ticking a box. By using the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user grants the corresponding consent by ticking the box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's end device if consent has been granted.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in the process.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.

If necessary, we have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
